The Cushion Foundation I Finally Settled On: JUNG SAEM MOOL
I have tried a lot of cushion foundations.
Some were pretty. Some were convenient. Some looked amazing for about two hours and then mysteriously disappeared.
After all that experimenting, I finally settled on one: JUNG SAEM MOOL Cushion.
And honestly, I have been sticking with it for about two years now.
Why I Love Cushion Foundations
Living in the Midwest means I spend quite a bit of time driving. I also enjoy golf and hiking, often well into late fall when the weather is still surprisingly pleasant.
That lifestyle has made me a huge fan of cushion foundations.
Of course, my morning skincare routine comes first. I usually apply an essence, moisturizer, and a lightweight, watery sunscreen before doing my makeup.

Before JUNG SAEM MOOL, I was a loyal Sulwhasoo cushion user for more than five years.
I kept buying the refills, which is usually a pretty good sign that I have found something I like.
But eventually, curiosity got the better of me.
I tried Cho Sung Ah's cushion, too, just to see if something else might win me over.
Then about two years ago, I started using JUNG SAEM MOOL.
And somehow, I stopped looking.

The easiest way I can describe the finish is this:

That sounds funny, I know.

After golf, before dinner.
After a long drive, before meeting someone.
Halfway through a hiking day when my skin starts looking tired.
A few gentle taps, and I feel a little more presentable.
I don't expect a cushion to replace my morning sunscreen, either. I still apply sunscreen properly as the first line of protection. For me, the cushion is more about touch-ups, coverage, and bringing back that fresh-looking complexion throughout the day.
My Current K-Beauty Favorite
During my most recent trip to Korea, I stocked up on several JUNG SAEM MOOL refills.
That probably tells you how committed I am at this point.

So while visiting Olive Young is always fun, I don't have to plan a Korea trip every time I run out of cushion.
Will I Switch?
Never say never in K-Beauty.
There is always a new cushion launching, and I am sure something will eventually come along promising an even better finish, longer wear, or some kind of revolutionary formula.
But until that happens, I am staying with JUNG SAEM MOOL.
After years of trying different cushions, finding one that makes my skin look luminous, polished, and quietly luxurious is not something I want to give up easily.
For now, my cushion search is officially over.
At least until the next Korean beauty launch tempts me again.
