A few days ago, I went to Target in Glenview, just outside Chicago, to look for some back-to-school supplies.

I had a simple shopping list in my head—school supplies, maybe a few things for the house, and then home.

Well… that didn't exactly happen.

Instead, I came home with a bag full of Korean beauty products. 😂

As I was walking through the store, I suddenly noticed an entire section filled with Korean skincare and beauty products. I stopped, of course. How could I not?

For someone who visits Korea every year to see family, Olive Young is always one of my favorite places to visit. I love walking through the aisles, picking up products, checking the ingredients, and discovering new Korean skincare.

But standing there in my local Target, I realized something:

K-beauty in Target

K-beauty has really arrived in America.

A few years ago, finding Korean skincare locally could be difficult. You often had to order online or wait until your next trip to Korea.

Now, Korean beauty products are becoming surprisingly easy to find at Target, Costco, Marshalls, and other major American retailers.

The prices may be higher than what you'd pay at Olive Young in Korea, but there is one big advantage:

You can actually see, touch, and compare the products before you buy them.

And apparently, that was all the excuse I needed to forget about my back-to-school shopping and start looking at skincare!
