Korean Beauty at Target: 5 K-Beauty Products You Should Try
A few days ago, I went to Target in Glenview, just outside Chicago, to look for some back-to-school supplies.
I had a simple shopping list in my head—school supplies, maybe a few things for the house, and then home.
Well… that didn't exactly happen.
Instead, I came home with a bag full of Korean beauty products. 😂
As I was walking through the store, I suddenly noticed an entire section filled with Korean skincare and beauty products. I stopped, of course. How could I not?
I visit Korea every year to see my family, and Olive Young is always one of my favorite places to shop. I love walking through the aisles, checking ingredients, and discovering something new.
But standing in my local Target, I realized something:
K-beauty has really arrived in America.
A few years ago, finding Korean skincare locally could be difficult. Now, you can walk into a Target and find brands that were once much easier to find in Korea.
So, if you're curious about Korean beauty at Target, here are five products that caught my attention.
1. Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Cleanser
This was one of the first products I noticed. Round Lab is a Korean brand that has become surprisingly easy to find in the U.S.
The 1025 Dokdo Cleanser is a low-pH cleanser designed for gentle cleansing. Target currently lists the 150 mL cleanser at around $10, although prices can change.
If your skin feels tight after washing, this is the kind of cleanser I would look at first.
2. Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizing Cream
If your skin is dry or easily irritated, this one deserves a closer look.
The Birch Juice Moisturizing Cream focuses on hydration and helping the skin hold onto moisture. Target currently carries the 80 mL version.
I especially like the idea of having a simple moisturizer you can use every day without making your routine complicated.
3. SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule
This is for anyone who loves the calming side of K-beauty.
Centella asiatica—often called cica in skincare—is one of those ingredients you will see everywhere in Korean skincare. The SKIN1004 ampoule is a simple, lightweight option centered around centella.
And yes, Target really does carry it. That still feels a little strange to me—in a good way! 😄
4. MEDIHEAL Essential Mask
Sometimes you don't want a complicated skincare routine. You just want to put on a sheet mask and relax.
MEDIHEAL is a Korean brand famous for its sheet masks, and Target currently carries several versions, including its Essential Mask line.
At around a few dollars per mask, this is probably one of the easiest ways to try K-beauty without committing to a full routine.
5. haruharu wonder Black Rice Hyaluronic Toner
This is another Korean favorite worth checking out if hydration is your main concern.
The Black Rice line uses fermented black rice as one of its signature ingredients, and the toner is designed to add hydration without feeling overly heavy.
It is the kind of product I would pick up when my skin feels a little tired and dry.
So, Is K-Beauty at Target Worth Trying?
Honestly, I think this is one of the most exciting things about K-beauty right now.
You don't necessarily have to wait for your next trip to Korea or order everything online. You can walk into a Target, pick up a Korean cleanser or moisturizer, read the ingredients, and actually see the product before buying it.
Of course, prices in the U.S. aren't always the same as prices at Olive Young in Korea. But there is something very convenient about being able to see it, touch it, and take it home that day.
And as someone who still gets a little too excited walking through Olive Young in Korea, I have to admit…
Seeing K-beauty at my neighborhood Target makes me pretty happy.
Maybe my back-to-school shopping wasn't such a failure after all. 😂
